New Sea Creature Miniatures

I just stumbled across some potential new Nautican Army units...

I'm not sure about where the shark warriors would fit in but I quite like the look of that "creature from the Deep" although he looks slightly more "swampy" than sea like (I think ?!). It might just be the colours though, he does after all have a sucker tentacle-like mouth. Hmmm....

    These are actually pretty nice, never seen them before, but I ain't sure for what you may use these. Perhaps as Intereptors/Trident Guards6Wave Breakers (obviously the Shark People), or perhaps make a whole new unit? But that would be taking it too far.

    Thanks for the comment Nikola. I'm not sure either at the moment. I'll spend sometime in my back garden with my notepad and a beer tomorrow. That always helps me to focus :)

    BTW, Interceptors is quite a good idea. They don't have any armour which is good because they are supposed to be unarmoured so they are not encumbered when fighting Leviathans. I think I could justify a shield in the narrative. They also have spears which is what Interceptors use (plus javelins).

    I might need to get some of the minis to take a closer look.

    btw used nautican a fair bit now i love the army its a great laugh and the rules are well written just horrible photos for the supposed to be minis awesome work really i use chuuls for lobstrosites and aqarium octopus and crabs resin perfect

    especially the codex pic for octopus is actually a squid lol mating crabs and levi have awesome rules very different gd gd well done m8

    like the tidal wave alot and the only spell i dont like is the symbol of the southern ocean its useless almost

    one suggestion add sea elf units like the nautican princes but skirmishers with some kind of sea staff

    all in all well done dudes gr8 army plz hurry up and update for 8th dont change much its very good dont ruin it like the orks coz theve killed all the fun

    Wow this is awesome, I didn't realise anyone else was actually playing the army ! Thanks for letting me know rockin reaper.

    I know a couple of people who've had on-off games but I didn't know anyone was actively following the army.

    I agree about the spell btw.

    I'll get onto the 8th edition update as soon as I can. Which will be in a bout a week's time.

    hi m8 been using nautican for a while now everyone likes the leviathan hehe very good army gr8 ideas wd to you m8 and all yer helpers

    only a couple of snags the basic gear is well overpriced for eg the leviathan sheilds

    i would like to see more of a shark and eel theme to it

    maybee some wave breakers riding moray eels

    also btw love the ideas behind the mating crabs and leviathan also the mermaid

    thanks for the support RR. I'm working on a few changes which I agreed recently with my play testing buddy. Also, I will be adding some supplementary pages to cater for the Storm of Magic expansion.

    I'd love to see some Wave Breakers on Moray Eels, the trouble is finding the miniatures. I've realised that the easiest way to design the army is to find the miniatures first and then create the rules for the units rather than the other way around.

    I'll look into the cost of the Leviathan shields. They're not as useful as they used to be in 8th edition. They used to provide extra dispel dice against spells but not it's +1 ward against magic. I'll get back to you on that one.

    and btw everyone whos played it at the club thinks its hilarious and awesome i also use unofficial armies {warhammer albion and warhammer cathay } these fun armies

    i have a huge octopus from a fish tank lol and resin crabs and some other funny things but atm redoing the army its real fun tho again thx for the laugh

    and i also think games workshop is getting to the stage people are soooooooo pissed at the way they do things like for eg ignoring the old work they did like the chaos dwarfs the kislev and the storm of chaos books and totally destroying beastmen the unofficial lists like yours are much better because there not pulling your wallet apart and strangling your army

    so get it up them money grabbing arseholes when ya can get models better looking and half the price

    i might sculpt models for this army when i have the cash lol eel and shark based possibly some sea beast as a leviathan as the reaper one i had was too small lol

    looking forward to 8th edition m8 gd work

    Thanks for the support RR. I have almost worked out what I'm doing for the 8th edition update. I haven't been playing as many games recently due to real life stuff but I had already agreed a few changes with my regular play testing buddy. I might actually do some work on the army book tomorrow, I really need to update the list - it's been ages since 8th ed was released. Sorry for the delay.
